
Spencer Kroll, MD, PhD, FACP, FNLA is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Specialist | Nationally Recognized Cholesterol & Lipid Expert | Medical-Legal Evaluations Specialist and Clinical Toxicologist.

Dr. Kroll has been honored as a New Jersey Top Doctor every year from 2011 through 2025, reflecting his long-standing reputation for excellence in patient care.
Dr. Kroll completed his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine, followed by his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center, where he later served on the clinical staff. Prior to this, he was a Howard Hughes Scholar at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he earned his PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology and a Master’s in Biostatistics. He also holds a Certification in Toxicology from Johns Hopkins University and is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology.

A Fellow of the National Lipid Association and the American College of Physicians, Dr. Kroll has made significant contributions to the understanding and treatment of cholesterol disorders. He has been at the forefront of research on advanced lipid-lowering therapies, including PCSK9 inhibitors, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed research articles. He also co-authored two widely read books: The Ozempic Diet and The Ultimate Semaglutide Handbook.

Dr. Kroll is the former host of the podcast “This Week in Cholesterol” and has served as Principal Investigator for multiple clinical trials. He has appeared as a guest expert on medical programs including ReachMD – The Channel for Medical Professionals and is a contributing author for Sharecare, where he represents the National Lipid Association in educating patients and healthcare providers on cholesterol and cardiovascular health.

In addition to his clinical and academic accomplishments, Dr. Kroll works for Medical-Legal Evaluations PA of New Jersey, where he offers independent medical evaluations, permanency assessments, and expert reviews in personal injury and workers’ compensation matters. His unique combination of clinical experience, advanced academic training, and nationally recognized expertise allows him to provide attorneys and insurers with clear, evidence-based medical opinions essential to complex litigation. He also performs evaluations for internal organ injuries, toxicology and environmental exposure cases, and cancer risk assessments.

Jason Messinger, PA-C is a distinguished graduate of both George Washington University and The Philadelphia University Physician Assistant School. With extensive experience in orthopedics and internal medicine, Jason has been a vital member of The Kroll Medical Group for over a decade. Renowned for his compassion, patience, and exceptional clinical skills, he has built strong relationships with our patients. His expertise is treating internal medicine patients, with a particular interest in primary care and preventative medicine.
